Tulane Football and the 2014 NFL Draft

As of 11:15pm, May 10, 2014

WR Ryan Grant selected #142 to the Redskins

Redskins head coach Jay Gruden on Ryan Grant and Tulane program:
Quote: “He’s great hands catcher. He’s a good route runner. He can play inside and outside. We’re surprised that he was there. We had a little bit higher of a grade on him, obviously, and he was sitting there and we took him. We were impressed with him at the combine interview we had with him and his production at Tulane has been excellent, and like I said, his flexibility as far as where to line up. He knows the position. He knows the passing game concepts. He had a very sophisticated offense at Tulane and we feel like he’s going to come in and compete right away.”
Undrafted guys that picked up free agent contracts
DB Jordan Sullen – Broncos
DT Chris Davenport – Redskins
K Cairo Santos – Chiefs
RB Orleans Darkwa - Dolphins (signed by Dolphins day after Titans invited to tryout at mini camp)

Invited to mini camp in hopes to earn a contract DB Derrick Strozier – Saints & DT Julius Warmsley - Texans
UPDATE May 19 - Warmsley earned a contract.
UPDATE May 19 - Strozier earned a contract.

I expect, or shall I say hope, that at least 1-2 more guys may get contracts or invited to a mini camp. Will keep you up to date if I see anything.

Former Tulane WR Wilson Van Hooser who played final year at Troy has signed with the Packers.
